Accounting Software
If you don’t already have an accounting software package in place, this can be established for you, with preference for MYOB, Xero or Quickbooks. Importantly I don’t receive any commission or perks off any software providers for setting them up for you, and I will recommend the product that I believe suits your business rather than being tied to a one brand fits all approach which seems to be very common in many bookkeeping and accounting practices in recent years.
You should not be pigeon-holed into using one type of software. If you are being asked to consider changing your software, then you should make sure the bookkeeper or accountant articulates very clearly the upside for your business in terms of efficiencies, time management and costs benefits, and outline any benefits they receive from that software provider.
